Seinäjoki Municipal Theatre was designed along Alvar Aalto's sketches and was completed it 1987. It is part of Seinäjoki Administrative and Cultural Centre. It was executed by Alvar Aalto & co, overseen by Elissa Aalto. The building and its interiors were listed under the building conservation law of 2005, and in the city plan of 2009. In 2018-2020 the theatre technology will be brought up to date and parts of the building will be refurbished.
