Hotel Hellsten was granted building permission in 2017.  The building at the corner of Malagankatu and Välimerenkatu will be a hybrid: two floors of neo-loft apartments built on top of four hotel floors. On top of these will be a sauna floor, accessible to both hotel guests and residents. The hotel is located beside Jallukka, a house of rental homes for musicians also by Talli Architects.

In the 2nd–5th floor there are 83 hotel rooms. Hotel floors are exceptionally high–five metres–and there are lofts in the rooms. In spring 2019 the project was further developped along co-living and co-working concepts; e.g. mini-kitchens were added into rooms to enable longer-term residence.
