Since 1999 almost all restoration and modification plans of the Finlandia Hall have been designed by Talli. The building is originally designed by Alvar Aalto and completed in two phases, in 1971 and 1975.

In 1993 the Finlandia Hall was protected under building preservation order. In 2006 Talli made a construction history report, supplemented in 2017 with an evaluation of existing spaces.
