A 300-metre-long concrete structure cuts underneath the Huopalahti railway station and through the courtyards of blocks of flats from 1959. The structure is also an environmental work of art for the enjoyment of both residents and train passengers. The deck above the tunnel, interspersed with vegetation, is perforated with light wells.
