The Greenest Block of Flats Almost Finished in Jätkäsaari

Right-of-occupancy and rental flats with rooftop community gardens. Greenhouses, vegetable planters and rooftop orchards  are made available for the inhabitants in this forward-thinking project that is one of Talli Architects fondest concepts. Creepers on the trellises and ever-greens sprouting from the planters on each balcony will in time join up to form green facades.

The Architectural Character of the Dance House Helsinki Has Been Chosen!

Almost intangible, the rust-like appearance of the Corten steel façade makes the building appear like a kite, physically floating in the air, while the polished aluminium façade reflects the surroundings and allows the Dance House to blend in with its built environment.
Stepping closer, the building turns into a machine: industrial, grounded and highly functional. The design creates a symbiosis between the existing Cable Factory and its new Dance House extension.

The project is a collaboration of Talli and JKMM Architects and is set to be completed in 2020.
