Savotta is a day-care centre for 80 children. The need to integrate a large building into a residential milieu gave the impetus for the buildings wedge-shaped mass, the lower end forming a part of the streetscape. The dark colouring of the facades matches the surroundings vegetation and visually makes the building appear smaller. The interiors are characterized by transparency. Loadbearing concrete walls were cast in place and these rough surfaces were left exposed.
